Delivery & Tracking
Christmas Delivery Notes:
You can order now for Christmas cheese deliveries! At checkout you can choose a future delivery date for your cheese to arrive, right up to Christmas. View the Christmas cheese range here >.
Please order as soon as possible to ensure your cheese is delivered in time for Christmas, as a small family business, working with small farms, The Courtyard Dairy only has a capacity to fulfil a certain number of online cheese orders. To be on the safe side, therefore, it may be better to order now choosing a delivery date of 21st December, which should guarantee you’ll receive your order on time; all Christmas deliveries will then be made between 19th -22nd December – during this period we cannot guarantee an exact date.
Christmas week is a very busy time for couriers, so deliveries at that time can sometimes be delayed but all cheese should have been delivered (or left safe) by Friday 22nd December. If you do not have order tracking by 11am on that day please ring immediately so we can find out where it is and ensure it gets there for Christmas!
Standard Delivery Details
You can choose when and where you want your mail order cheese delivery to be made. Deliveries are made by couriers APC or DPD (if you have a preference do let us know!) on Tuesday-Friday inclusive, anywhere in England, Wales and Central Scotland. Delivery is FREE for orders over £55, or a reasonable £5.95 per order if your order is £55 or less. Please note that each separate delivery address is treated as a separate order.
If you require a cheese delivery to the Highlands, Northern Ireland, offshore UK Islands and other international addresses please see ‘Delivery to Islands and the Scottish Highlands’ below.
You can choose to accept delivery on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, either straight away or some time in the future. It is recommended that you have a ‘safe-place’ to leave the parcel if you are not in. Your delivery should arrive before 4.00 pm; if it doesn’t, please ring The Courtyard Dairy (01729 823 291) so it can be traced. At busy periods delivery may occasionally take an additional day.
Sorry, but The Courtyard Dairy cannot accept orders where you have not given an alternative/safe place for the delivery. Timed deliveries are not possible (the courier will deliver some time during the day, up to 4.00 pm) and if you are not in at the time of delivery, the courier will leave your order in your stated alternative/safe place.
Each parcel contains ice to keep it chilled during delivery, but cheese must be kept refrigerated once received.
Tracking Your Order
The status of your delivery can be tracked online using your consignment number (sent to you by email when the parcel is dispatched) direct with APC www.apc-overnight.com, or DPD: www.dpd.co.uk.
