More about this
You must be over 18 to purchase this product.
This Ploughman’s cheese hamper includes:
Kirkham’s Lancashire. Unpasteurised cows’ milk. 250g.
Third-generation Lancashire-maker Graham still follows the traditional two-day curd method, giving a buttery, yoghurty flavour with a fluffy and light texture that melts in the mouth. These Kirkham’s are specially selected for The Courtyard Dairy for a greater depth of flavour.
St Andrew’s Cheddar. Unpasteurised cows’ milk. 250g.
Jane Stewart makes cheese using rich, unpasteurised milk from her husband’s cattle. This Cheddar is classically Scottish in style: aged for 14 months, it is powerful, strong and tangy – a real sharp traditional Cheddar.
Cote Hill Blue. Unpasteurised cows’ milk, vegetarian. 290g.
With the price of wholesale milk falling, the Davenports took a short course in cheese making and invented Britain’s first unpasteurised soft blue: Cote Hill Blue.
Yorkshire Piccalilli. 220g.
Crunchy vegetables balanced with mustard and traditional Piccalilli spices. A great Ploughman’s companion.
English Pickled Onions. 454g. (Or Red Onion Chutney, if pickled onions are out of season.)
English Onions pickled in a warmly-spiced, sweet, malt vinegar, with a crunchy bite. Perfect for Ploughman’s and with traditional British cheeses.
Yorkshire Ale. 500ml, 4.6%abv.
Traditional bitter-style ale made by Naylor’s Brewery; crisp and malty with a fruity finish.
Water Crackers. 100g.
A neutral water cracker, made in Yorkshire, that is deliciously crisp and toasty. A perfect accompaniment to any cheese.
This product will have two weeks’ shelf life from the date of delivery. Conveniently, at checkout you can choose a delivery date even well in the future if you would like your cheese delivering for a specific event.
The beer/wine is sold and dispatched by Buon Vino at the same time as your cheese.
In the current pandemic not all our suppliers are able to supply us as consistently as they were.
What this means is that occasionally we may give you a substitute in some cheese selections. This will always be a carefully-selected similar cheese of equal or greater value.
If you do not want us to supply a suitable substitute in this way, state in the ‘special instructions’ at checkout: “No replacements”, in which case we may have to phone you if there is an issue.
