The very best of British Isles artisan cheese offered in a cheese ‘advent calendar’ with a difference: every day contains a different cheese, each demonstrating the resurgence of superb British Isles farm-made cheese.
Lucky recipients of this cheese ‘advent calendar’ get to taste 24 cheeses, including many award winners (World Cheese Award Champions and Supreme Champions from the British Cheese Awards), and, uniquely, will be among the first to taste a new cheese that has never been released on sale before.
To enhance the surprise of each cheese, the pack includes detailed cheese-tasting notes, top Michelin-starred chefs’ tips for cheese, a booklet on the history of British Isles cheese, and drink pairing notes from world-class sommeliers.

The cheese will be delivered in two boxed sets: 12 cheeses delivered 30th November and the following 12 cheeses delivered on 11th December.
This cheese ‘advent calendar’ is the perfect gift for a cheese-lover, with enough cheese included for two people each day (80g per day). Ranging from soft and smelly to strong and tangy, the ‘advent calendar’ cheeses show why The Courtyard Dairy is widely regarded as one of the top cheese shops in the world and offers you a chance to try a fabulous range of new British Isles farm cheeses.
Each cheese ‘advent calendar’ delivery will contain 12 x 80g parcels of cheese, labelled with the correct day to open. Corresponding notes for that cheese are attached, to open on the day and discover the surprise cheese!
This product will have two weeks’ shelf life from the date of delivery.
Contains minimum 2.1kg cheese.
Ingredients in cheese: Milk, salt, cheese cultures and rennet.
Old Winchester, Killeen and Cáis Na Tíre in the pack contain eggs (in lysosome enzyme added to prevent mould growth).
(Slate board and Christmas decorations are not included.)

We bought the advent calendar for our son & his wife last year and we’re were all so impressed with the whole package! Thinking we may have to buy one for home this year, we were lucky enough to have one sent to us! Fabulous cheeses (generous portions) with all the information and history of/about them, recipes … and even a couple of cheese jokes, beautifully packaged. It’s just the most fabulously enjoyable treat. We had a couple of fun cheese and wine/supper evenings to get in the festive mood. THANK YOU to all at Courtyard Dairy! -
