Mrs Kirkham’s Lancashire. Unpasteurised cows’ milk. 250g.
Ruth Kirkham and her son still follow the traditional two-day curd method of making Lancashire, giving a buttery, yoghurty flavour with a fluffy and light texture that melts in the mouth. These Kirkhams are specially selected for The Courtyard Dairy for a greater depth of flavour.
Tunworth Camembert. Pasteurised cows’ milk. 250g.
An English Camembert good enough to make a Frenchman weep: vegetal, porcini-flavoured and intense. Made by Stacey Hedges.
St Andrew’s Cheddar. Unpasteurised cows’ milk. 250g.
Jane Stewart makes cheese with rich, unpasteurised milk from her husband’s cattle. St Andrew’s Cheddar is classically Scottish in style: aged for 14 months, it is powerful, strong and tangy – a real sharp traditional Cheddar.
Lanark Blue. Unpasteurised sheep’s milk, vegetarian. 250g.
An iconic farmhouse British cheese, this is Scotland’s answer to Roquefort; the rich sheep’s milk complemented by a strong, powerful blue veining. Lanark Blue was created in the 1980s and has become a modern classic. Made by Selina Errington.
This product will have two weeks’ shelf life from the date of delivery. Conveniently, at checkout you can choose a delivery date even well in the future if you would like your cheese delivering for a specific event.
