Crusted Port

Dark red appearance, aromas of cherries and dark plums


Port from the very highly-regarded organic Pisca vineyard (used to make Bioma Vintage Port). In non-vintage years the Niepoort family use the fabulous grapes from old vines to create this crusted port: a rich ruby port showcasing their most famous vineyard.
Perfect with strong, hard cheeses, such as Cheddar, Gouda, and Gruyère, and blue cheeses.

This port comes from from the famous Niepoort port house.  It’s made using 100% trodden grapes, and wild yeasts, and is unfiltered, so it throws a sediment but produces a richer, full-bodied port.  It is important to decant it before serving.

750ml.  19.5% abv.
