Maias Tinto Quinta das Maias

Made by Luis Lourenco on his 37 acres of land on a high-altitude plateau in central Portugal, which gives the resulting wines structure and acidity.  Maias Tinto is made using traditional Portuguese red grapes Jaen (Mencia) Alfrochero and Touriga Nacional.

Maias Tinto is well balanced and fruity, a natural red wine, with blackcurrant and sloe flavours.  It’s a perfect match for strong, full-flavoured cheeses such as strong Cheddar and rich blues.
