This Indulgent Hamper includes:

Young Buck.  Unpasteurised cows’ milk.  500g.
Based on an old text on Stilton that Mike found.  Different from modern-day Stilton, it is made outside the region with unpasteurised milk, a slow-gentle acidification of the curd and hand-ladling, but it retains some similarities – rubbing up, hastening (to encourage a ruby-red yeast rind) and piercing late to encourage blueing.  It is then aged for 12-15 weeks before being split and sold by The Courtyard Dairy only at its peak.

Vacherin Mont d’Or.  Unpasteurised cows’ milk.  500g
Only made for the winter season, Vacherin Mont d’Or is hedonistic, powerful, rich, and often dribbling out of the box!  The Vacherin Mont d’Or selected by The Courtyard Dairy is made by one of the most outstanding producers in the region – Sancey-Richard – and then extra-aged by Mons Fromages.
When Vacherin is out of season (April-September) St James (a rich washed-rind cheese from Cumbria) will be substituted.

St Andrew’s Cheddar.  Unpasteurised cows’ milk. 1Kg.
Jane makes cheese with rich, unpasteurised milk from her husband’s cattle.  This Cheddar is classically Scottish in style: aged for 14 months, it is powerful, strong and tangy – a real sharp traditional Cheddar.

Charcuterie.  200g
A selection of the finest freshly-sliced charcuterie from the Falorni family in Tuscany, including the fabulous Prosciutto Saporito, and Salame Piccante (chilli and paprika).

Isle of Arran Oaties.  180g
Isle of Arran Oaties are the perfect oatcakes to go with cheese, with a crisp crunch and rich, nutty, caramelised flavour.  Oatcakes made in the traditional way and baked by hand by Wooley’s in Scotland.

Water Crackers.  100g
A neutral water cracker that is deliciously crisp and toasty.  A perfect accompaniment to any cheese.

Red Onion and Apple Chutney.  210g
Great chutney made with red onions and apples, a touch of chilli and a bit of sweetness.

Nierpoort Tawny-Dee Port.  19.5% abv.  750ml
The Nierpoort family has been making port in their family since 1842. Dirk Nierpoort uses only the finest estate-own grapes that still handpicked and trodden by foot; their tawny-dee port is exceptional. Supplied and selected by Buon Vino.

All packed in the attractive wicker hamper (included) as pictured.

This product will have two weeks shelf life from the date of delivery.  Conveniently, at checkout you can choose a delivery date even well in the future if you would like your cheese delivering for a specific event.
The beer/wine is sold and dispatched by Buon Vino at the same time as your cheese.
